Frequently people whose lives have been touched by the care and services given at Congregational Home have asked how they can make a gift to the Home. Below we have listed several options to satisfy that purpose.
Gifts in Tribute
Donations can be made to Congregational Home in memory of a family member or friend who has passed away, or in honor of a person for a special event such as a birthday or Mother’s Day. We acknowledge each gift with a card sent to the person or next of kin for whom the donation is made.
Capital Improvement and Development Fund
Growing out of a heritage of faith, the Congregational Home Capital Improvement and Development Fund as a part of the Pilgrim Heritage Foundation builds on a philosophy of autonomy. Its purpose is to secure for the future and endowment which will allow contributions and interest to be used to enhance Congregational Home as a caring community for older persons in our society through housing health care and supportive services.
Resident Enrichment Program
- Ream Fund
Named for Rev. Dr. Norman S. Ream, Minister Emeritus, of First Congregational Church of Wauwatosa, an advocate and founding member of the Home. The income from this fund provides support – on a non-sectarian basis – to Home residents who have outlived their financial resources.
- Congregational Fund
This fund was initiated and has grown through two challenge gifts from a First Congregational Church member. Income from the fund is available to provide financial assistance for residents of the Home who are members of First Congregational Church who have outlived their financial resources.
- Chapel Fund
The purpose of the Chapel Fund is to serve as a receptacle for funds which will benefit the Chapel, the Chapel programs or the religious welfare of Congregational Home. The use of the Chapel Fund will be to provide music for the chapel services, to provide flowers, if needed, and to provide for opportunities which will enhance the religious life of Congregational Home.
- Music Fund
This fund began with a gift from the four Jacobus’ Family Foundations. It supports professional music programs provided in the Chapel/Auditorium featuring our Steinway concert grand piano.
- Artwork Fund
Created to purchase artwork for the purpose of enhancing our resident environment
- Lillie Klopf Library Fund
The Home’s library is maintained and expanded with these gifts.
- Special Events & Transportation Fund
Group outings to view autumn colors, Christmas decorations, and to attend special events outside the Home are financed from these gifts.
